Abstract
We briefly recall the main results of Geometric Singular Perturbation Theory (GSPT), and its use in mathematical modelling. Then, we provide motivation for the use of GSPT in the context of mathematical modelling of epidemics. Finally, we provide various examples of systems of singularly perturbed equations, both in standard and in non-standard form, presenting the main results derived for each model.
