Abstract
In this talk I'll present a “CFT factory”, a systematic procedure for engineering 2D lattice models that flow to conformal fixed points via critical boundary conditions on 3D string-net topological orders (the “strange correlator” construction). By tuning non-commuting anyon condensates and tracking their hierarchy through a refined condensation tree, one both recovers the A-series minimal models and uncovers new critical points (with central charges $c\approx1.3, 1.8, 2.5$) carrying Haagerup symmetries. A generalised Kramers–Wannier duality then predicts extensive phase boundaries and isolates second-order transitions, which we confirm numerically using symmetry-preserving tensor-network RG. Finally, we show that critical couplings are encoded purely in categorical data (Frobenius algebras and quantum dimensions), offering a powerful route to discovering novel 2D CFTs.
