Abstract
Witten-Reshetikhin-Turaev theories have an anomaly. It is not uncommon to sweep it under the rug, but if you want to understand that WRT if fully extended it is better not to. In this talk I will explain Walker-Freed-Teleman's approach, seeing WRT as a boundary condition to the invertible Crane-Yetter 4-TQFTs, it's recent formalization, and how this should allow us to obtain WRT from the cobordism hypothesis. I will also add a twist to obtain non-semisimple TQFTs, which doesn't disrupt the story to much.
