Abstract
In this talk, I will begin by reviewing some recent developments on the Langlands correspondence for reductive groups over nonarchimedean local fields and on the Langlands correspondence for reductive groups over finite fields. I will next explain how these two frameworks relate to one another, in particular regarding their connections with the wavefront sets of representations.
