Abstract
In this talk, we present recent results concerning the Milnor and Tjurina numbers of holomorphic foliations in the complex plane. We introduce extensions of these invariants, namely the k-th Milnor and k-th Tjurina numbers, and establish their relationship with the Gómez-Mont–Seade–Verjovsky index. Finally, we discuss applications of these extended invariants to the theory of singularities of holomorphic functions. This talk is based on joint results obtained with Evelia R. García Barroso, Nancy Saravia Molina, and Marcela Ribeiro.
