Abstract
An object in a linear n-category gives rise to a fiber sequence of formal moduli problems. The boundary map of this fiber sequence measures the obstruction to deforming an object along a deformation of the category. This will be used to show that, under certain finiteness assumptions, solutions to the Maurer-Cartan equation describe formal deformations of categories up to Morita equivalence. Joint work in progress with B K Sandepudi, building on earlier work with A Blanc and L Katzarkov.
