Abstract
A multipath in a directed graph G is a disjoint union of paths. The multipath complex of G is the simplicial complex whose vertices are the edges of G and whose simplices are the multipaths of G, and thus multipath homology is the homology of the multipath complex. We introduce the basic concepts of multipath homology, and demonstrate its differences from existing graph homology theories, and we will present some combinatorial results on the Euler characteristic and homotopy type of the multipath homology of certain classes of digraphs.
