Abstract
We prove that the supersymmetric deformed $\mathbb{CP}^{1}$ sigma model admits an equivalent description as a generalized Gross-Neveu model. We derive a novel Nahm-type condition that ensures renormalizability without supersymmetry breaking. An analysis of the RG flow for this new class of theories also reveals new ultraviolet conformal fixed points in both descriptions of the chiral/sigma model equivalence. We then address derivation of the new superdeformed sigma model from the first principles and demonstrate its emergence from 4D Chern-Simons theory with defects via topological reduction. The construction is formulated in terms of surface operators, for which we find fixed representations and discretization schemes that yield the associated lattice systems. We further explore novel relations of sigma models on deformed toric varieties to perturbed CFTs and models in the Landau-Ginzburg sector. The linearisation problem for the superdeformed model and its mirror dual is also discussed.
