Abstract
I will describe a relation between certain character varieties of a punctured sphere and DAHAs of type $C^\vee C$ and explain how it can be used to find canonical coordinates for the Atyah--Bott Poisson bracket on these varieties and construct a geometric phase space for the trigonometric Van Diejen's system, a $C^\vee C$-analogue of the Ruijsenaars--Schneider system. This is based on a joint work with Bradley Ryan (Leeds), arxiv.org:2410.23456.
Speaker Intro
Oleg Chalykh obtained his PhD from Moscow State University in 1992, after which he worked at the Moscow State University and Kolmogorov School, then held visiting research positions at Loughborough University (UK) and Cornell University (USA) before moving to the University of Leeds (UK) in 2004 where he has been since. His interests include integrable systems, mathematical physics, and representation theory.
