Abstract
I will review some work of Denef on the existence of certain multi-centred black hole solutions. The black-holes in his construction are obtained from a compactification of IIB supergravity on a Calabi-Yau threefold, and his existence criterion for the black-hole solution is the existence of certain flows on the complex structure moduli space of a Calabi-Yau threefold. These are the split attractor flows. I will review all the special Kahler geometry required for the computation of these flows and I will try to clarify what we can compute in practice and what we cannot.
