Computational Conformal Geometry Seminar
Computational conformal geometry is an interdisciplinary field bridging modern geometry, topology, and computer science, creating vital connections between theoretical mathematics and engineering applications. By systematically discretizing fundamental concepts from classical differential geometry, Riemann surface theory, algebraic topology, and geometric analysis, this discipline has established a rigorous framework for discrete differential geometry while developing efficient computational algorithms. The pioneering algorithms emerging from this field demonstrate transformative potential across multiple domains: enabling advanced geometric processing in computer graphics, revolutionizing 3D reconstruction in computer vision, and enhancing medical imaging analysis. Supporting this project will empower our institute to cultivate interdisciplinary professionals with cutting-edge knowledge in modern geometry, computational topology, and AI applications. Students engaging in this frontier research will gain multidisciplinary expertise, injecting new vitality into cross-disciplinary research and elevating our institute's international academic standing.
