Abstract
In this talk, I will discuss an enumerative invariant that gives a virtual count of G-local systems on a 3-manifold, where G is a reductive group. This invariant can be viewed as a topological analogue of the Donaldson–Thomas invariant. Following a proposal of Safronov, we use this invariant to formulate a version of Langlands duality for certain classes of 3-manifolds and for the Hitchin system. We also present some computations of these invariants that provide evidence for the conjectured duality.
This talk is partly based on joint work in progress with Lucien Hennecart.
