Abstract
The talk consists of two parts: a combinatorial part and its representation-theoretic motivation.
In the first part, I will recall the classical bubble sort algorithm and use it to derive several nice properties of subposets of the Bruhat graph that generalize the Parabolic Bruhat graph (this part will be purely combinatorial).
In the second part, I will explain how this combinatorics can be applied to establish the Howe duality statements for staircase matrices.
The talk is based on joint work with Ie. Makedonskyi arxiv:2502.21184.
