Abstract
In this talk, we review the concepts of shape and topological optimization, as well as the techniques for calculating the shape derivative and topological one. We then propose a numerical algorithm that allows for coupling these two derivatives. Finally, we provide some application examples.
Speaker Intro
Alassane Sy is a full professor of applied mathematics at Alioune Diop University of Bambey (Senegal). His research focuses on the numerical analysis of nonlinear PDEs, particularly using geometric and topological shape optimization tools. He works on several applications, notably in image processing, pollutant transfer in porous media, and obstacle positioning. His research also addresses the control of monopole phase transition problems.
He is visiting BIMSA with a support from the "ICMRA Visiting Scholars Program".
