Abstract
Let $W$ be a manifold and $\phi: W \to W$ be a self-continuous map. The entropy of $\phi$ is an invariant measuring the "complexity" of $\phi$. In this talk, when $W$ admits a symplectic structure and $\phi$ preserves the symplectic structure, we will discuss a lower-bound of entropy of $\phi$, induced from symplectic topology of $W$. (I will provide an overview of basic symplectic topology, rendering any prerequisite knowledge in the field unnecessary.)
