Abstract
The goal of this talk is to clarify the structure of the Hilbert space in the asymptotic limit of a quantum system. I first revisit the standard 1/N expansion as a topological expansion, then construct the state-dependent Hilbert space based on this expansion using the GNS construction. Finally, I aim to discuss whether the state- (or background-) dependent Hilbert space is the only sensible Hilbert space in the large-N limit.
