Abstract
This talk we investigate the spectrum of the full linearization at a critical point (typically referring to a soliton) and in what sense this spectrum determines the orbital stability of solutions to the Klein–Gordon equation. A key summarized result in this context is the Hamiltonian–Krein index theorem, which helps us to fully understand the relationship between Hessian, the linearized operator and stability result.
