Abstract
Symmetry plays a fundamental role in physics, providing a powerful framework for understanding the laws of nature. In recent years, the concept of symmetry has been significantly extended to the notion of "generalized symmetries," which has rapidly evolved into a central and unifying theme across condensed matter, high-energy, and mathematical physics. In this talk, I will discuss how these modern tools can be used to constrain and ultimately elucidate the non-perturbative dynamics of strongly coupled quantum field theories. This will be demonstrated through various examples, including integrable deformations of CFTs and non-integrable 2D QCDs.
