Abstract
I will discuss a novel, local, and stable mechanism—called ergodic blenders—that ensures ergodicity in smooth dynamical systems exhibiting certain forms of hyperbolic behavior. This mechanism provides a new framework for addressing the problem of stable ergodicity in typical partially hyperbolic volume-preserving diffeomorphisms. This is based on joint work with H. Rajabzadeh and A. Fakhari.
