Abstract
In this presentation, we introduce the rotation number for 1-dimensional Schrödinger equation with Stepanov almost periodic potentials and Dirac δ-functions, which generalizes Johnson and Mosers landmark work in 1982. The rotation number measures the average increase of some dynamical variable, and is used to compute the spectrum of Schrödinger operators. Our idea is to construct a suitable topological dynamical system so that we can use a series tools of ergodic theory.
