Abstract
The seminar explores the connection between cluster algebras and scattering diagrams. Cluster algebras, introduced by Fomin and Zelevinsky around 2000, arise from Lie theory and have become a rich structure in algebra and combinatorics. Recently, Gross, Hacking, Keel, and Kontsevich made significant breakthroughs in cluster algebra theory using the scattering diagram method, initially developed in the context of homological mirror symmetry. This seminar offers the first comprehensive overview of these important developments.
