Abstract
Chow-Witt group is the quadratic refinement of Chow group which applies to classifications of vector bundles, Hermitian K-theory and refined enumerative geometry.
In this talk, we explain how to derive Chow-Witt group from the question of finding nowhere vanishing sections of vector bundles. Then we interpret the motivic method to compute Chow-Witt groups and how Bockstein SS is naturally involved, including the computation of fiber bundles and blowups.

Nanjun Yang got his doctor and master degree in University of Grenoble-Alpes, advised by Jean Fasel, and bachelor degree in Beihang University. Then he became a postdoc in YMSC. Currently he is a assistant professor in BIMSA. His research interest is the Chow-Witt group of algebraic varieties, with publications on journals such as Camb. J. Math and Ann. K-Theory.
