Orbital integrals and Springer Theories
In this course I will discuss the geometry of affine springer fibers and show how to they can be helpful in understanding the local orbital integrals.
In the first half of the course I follow the lecture notes by Zhiwei Yun, in the second half I will explain the recent development around the conjecture by Cherednik, relating the local orbital integrals to characters of representations of rational Cherednik algebras.

Lecturer Intro
Dr. DENG Taiwang has joined BIMSA in November 2022 as an Assistant Professor. His research interests are in the Langlands program (broadly speaking, the arithmetic, analytic and representation aspects of it). He obtained a Phd in Mathematics from the University of Paris 13. Previously, he has held the postdoctorial positions in Bonn University, the Max Planck Institute of Mathematics in Bonn and Tsinghua University.
