Linear Representations of finite groups over different characteristics II
As a continuation of Course I, we will focus on group representations over fields of positive characteristic, paying particular attention to the special phenomena caused by positive characteristic, such as the appearance of relative projectivity. We will center our discussion around the Green correspondence theorem and the Brauer correspondence theorem, and explore them from both the perspective of representations and that of group algebras themself.

Prerequisite
The prerequisites include basic facts about character theory of groups and fields of characteristic p.
Syllabus
1-4 weeks: Chapter 6 (W.Peter "A course in finite group representation theory.")
5-8 weeks: Chapter 7 (W.Peter "A course in finite group representation theory.")
9-12 weeks: Chapters 8-9 (W.Peter "A course in finite group representation theory.")
13-16 weeks: Chapter 10-12 (W.Peter "A course in finite group representation theory.")
Some subsections, such as 8.2, 8.4, 10.3 will be briefly introduced.
