Anabelian geometry, effective abc inequalities, and their applications

摘要

I will introduce some key features of anabelian geometry and the IUT theory of Shinichi Mochizuki. Then I discuss several effective abc inequalities established in a recently published paper (Explicit estimates in inter-universal Teichmüller theory, by S. Mochizuki, I. Fesenko, Y. Hoshi, A. Minamide, W. Porowski, Kodai Math. J. 45(2022) 175-236) and explain how their applications change Diophantine geometry.
