摘要
This work presents Topology Optimization (TO) methods to solve design problems of Hall Effect Thrusters (HET). Most of these design problems involve implicit inverse problems that we formulated in the form of Topology Optimization one. For numerical solution computations, a material density-based approach called Mixed - Solid Isotropic Material with Penalization (M-SIMP) is proposed to handle efficiently such a design problem of HET. The proposed model, M-SIMP consists of a continuous relaxation (of some discrete variables) to apply linear search algorithms. For these algorithms, the derivative information is quite crucial. Thus, that topological derivative, also known as design sensitivity, is computed by the Adjoint Variable Method (AVM). Finally, we complete this work with some numerical examples to illustrate our solution method.
