Large-$n$ expansion can be used to describe a large amount of non-perturbative phenomena. In this study, we focus on an $N=2$ supersymmetric quantum mechanics which is a sigma model, whose target space is a smooth $n-1$-dimensional complex projective variety of degree $d$. At the limit of a large $n$, we lift the NLSM into a GLSM and take a permutation-symmetry-protecting approach to deal with the path integral. In the result, we arrive at the Witten Index at the leading order. We hope that through this simple case study, whose answer is already known, we can form a more general algorithm to study sigma models with permutation symmetries. This talk is based on the adjoint work with Simeon Hellerman and Yew Xin Tan.
