摘要
I will describe how the S-matrix bootstrap describes the space of effective field theories (ie. the space of Wilson coefficients) with consistent UV completions. In particular, I will analyze the scattering of colored scalars in the presence of gravity, where the unknown UV states that are being exchanged can be in different representations of the symmetry group. Typically, the graviton pole on the EFT side is a nuisance: currently only complicated numerical methods are able to describe the configuration, and generally the pole leads to weaker bounds on the Wilson coefficients. However, when the external particles are colored, one can show that the graviton pole cannot exist unless particular representations of UV states are present in the spectrum. This approach may open an S-matrix perspective on the ''Completeness Hypothesis'' in the Swampland Program.
