摘要

Finiteness properties of Calabi-Yau varieties is an interesting and mysterious topic in algebraic geometry. The Morrison-Kawamata cone conjecture predicts that there are finitely many contractions from a Calabi-Yau pair up to automorphism. As a special case of this conjecture, we prove that there are only finitely many fiber structures on any fixed Calabi-Yau pair in dimension 3. The main idea is to combine boundedness and discreteness to reduce finiteness. This talk is based on ArXiv:2501.10239.
