Compact moduli of sheaves on a curve

摘要
It is a classical result that the semistable vector bundles on a curve form a compact moduli space. In a joint work with Andres Fernandez Herrero and Dario Weissmann, we show that this is the only open condition on families of sheaves that yields a compact moduli space. This is based on the preprint arXiv: 2504.11155.

Xucheng Zhang is currently an associate professor at Beihang University. Before this, he obtained his Ph.D degree at University of Duisburg-Essen in 2022 and was a postdoc at YMSC.
