摘要
I will show that there is a wide class of integrable sigma models that are exactly and explicitly equivalent to generalized Gross-Neveu models (with both bosons and fermions). The class of models includes the familiar CP^n, Grassmannian, as well as flag manifold sigma models. This approach allows constructing a simpler perturbation theory for sigma models and leads to a new take on topics such as RG (Ricci) flow, integrable deformations and the inclusion of fermions. From a geometric standpoint, the formalism has its roots in the resolution of singularities of closures of nilpotent orbits. This will be a review talk of some of these results, depending on what time permits.

Dmitri Bykov received his Ph.D. in theoretical physics from Trinity College Dublin in 2011. He held postdoc positions at Nordita (Stockholm, Sweden), Max-Planck-Institute for Gravitational Physics (Potsdam, Germany) and Max-Planck-Institute for Physics (Munich, Germany) and obtained his Habilitation (Dr. Phys.-Math. Sci.) in 2018. Since 2021 he is a leading scientific researcher at Steklov Mathematical Institute and at the Institute for Theoretical and Mathematical Physics (Moscow, Russia). His research interests include applications of differential-geometric methods in quantum field theory and his main results are related to 2D sigma models.
