摘要
Lattice field theory provides a powerful toolset for non-perturbative analysis of strongly interacting quantum field theories. It is primarily applied in Quantum Chromodynamics in uniform Euclidian space-time (Minkowski space-time after Wick rotation). This talk discusses applications of the lattice field theory to non-uniform systems and those in non-uniform space-time. This discussion includes a review of various examples, including gauge field theories (U(1), SU(2), SU(3)) in space-time with boundaries, as well as SU(3) theory within the rotating and accelerating frames of Minkowski space-time. These examples demonstrate how space-time non-uniformity impacts the theory’s spectrum, vacuum structure, and thermodynamic phases. Additionally, I briefly touch upon the lattice field theory model of inherently discrete and highly non-homogeneous systems, such as proteins—a particularly intriguing application of lattice field theory.
