A new geometric comparison between representations of real and p-adic groups

摘要

In this talk, I will present a geometric comparison between representations of two pairs of real and $p$-adic groups: $GL_n(C)$ with $GL_m(Q_p)$, and $U(p,q)$ with $Sp(m,Q_p)$, $SO(m,Q_p)$. The comparisons are achieved by constructing explicit maps between Langlands parameter spaces. We will sketch the construction, describe some desired properties, and discuss possible applications to the study of Arthur packets. This is based on joint work with Taiwang Deng, Chang Huang, and Bin Xu.
