摘要

Period integrals and special values of automorphic $L$-functions have deep and intrinsic relationships. We will explain how the central symmetric cube $L$-value of automorphic representations of $GL_2$ is related to a coperiod integral of $GL_2$ in its cubic Kazhdan-Patterson cover, and show certain local multiplicity one properties. This is based on a joint work in progress with Li Cai and Yangyu Fan.
