Weil-etale cohomology and Frobenius rigidity

摘要
In the first half of the talk I will give an overview over motivic cohomology theories and their applications for schemes over finite fields. In particular, I will explain that one can expect better behaved theories if one replaces the Galois group of the finite field by its Weil group. In the second half I will discuss recent work on the question if one can replace the algebraic closure of the finite field by larger algebraically closed fields in the construction of above theories.
