In this talk I will discuss some of the ideas behind the recent improvement to the upper bounds on the diagonal r-colour Ramsey numbers.

Julian Sahasrabudhe is an assistant professor at the University of Cambridge. He works in combinatorics and related areas such as random matrices and Fourier analysis.
