Automorphic representations and L-functions
The goal is to explain different approaches to the functional equations of automorphic L functions, including the Jacquet-Langlands method and the Godement-Jacquet method and possibly the doubling method and the Braverman-Kazhdan program etc.. We will also explain the necessary backgrounds on the automorphic representations. We will mainly focus on the GL_2 case and try to compare different approaches.
