First announcement: The 1st International Mathematics Summer Camp, Beijing, China
The Yanqi Lake Beijing Institute of Mathematical Sciences and Applications (BIMSA- https://www.bimsa.cn/ ), will officially organize at the 1st International Mathematics Summer Camp (IMSC23).
consequence, the camp is designed to train the students for the International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO). The whole event is planned to take place between June 18th-July 6th, 2023 at the Yanqi Lake Beijing Institute of Mathematical Sciences and Applications (BIMSA). We are committed to cover the expenses (airflight tickets, housing and meals) from your country/region to Beijing and from Beijing to Tokyo afterwards. This applies to the 6 students of each team plus up to 3 of their leaders (up to 9 people in total). So far, there is a growing number of countries that accepted our invitation. The International Mathematics Summer Camp (IMSC23) is a two-weeks program which includes all sorts of mathematical activities such as lectures, problem sessions, seminars as well as non-mathematical activities. While the main purpose of the camp is training for the IMO, we also encourage students to attend optional mathematical and non-mathematical activities including seminars and talks on advanced mathematical concepts from visiting speakers or excursions to the Great Wall or different sites in the area.
We expect around 300 people (students, leaders, instructors, invited guest speakers, staff) from all over the world to participate at the camp. The program is run by Cezar Lupu (Academic Director) and Arnav Tripathy (Associate Academic Director) and together with other instructors and teaching assistants will design and deliver the lectures for the camp. We plan to have 10 instructors from all around the world. There will be a total of 180 lectures plus a number of seminars with invited guest speakers who are world renowned mathematicians.
